Meet Yoda, a 3-year old German Shepherd. She is a lovely, beautiful gal. She really wasn’t interested in my air-dried duck treats. Some dogs aren’t at first, but usually after one, they are hooked.

If you follow my other Instagram channel, @michellelazur, then you may have seen lots of shots of Roman, this year. Roman is my son’s dog and since I’ve been stranded in PA, and he and my son live in my house here, I get to take photos of him any time I want!

Roman is a very loyal, sweet dog. In the photo, his human just left for work, after being away at school most of the day. So, Rome darling was sad that he only had about an hour with his human dad. It’s okay, buddy, you’ll get to sleep with him tonight!

It’s so hard when you want to spend all your time with your furbabies, but things like school and making a living take us away from them more than we want or like.

Hug your fur baby today.

Puppies can be very difficult to photograph. I should know Wally was very excited to explore and wanted nothing much to do with me (except for the yummy duck treat), but I didn’t have my squeaker out for help with attention. I was so enthralled with the little gorgeous curly love bug, that all my senses left me.

I mean, come on, will you look at that gorgeous cutie-pie-ness!

Thanks, Wally, and your new Mum. I hope you bring joy to your new family for a very long time.

Parker is a Basenji-mix and is 12 years old! I would have never guessed his age. Never in a million years. Parker has lots of pep and is alert and agile.

I have never met a Basenji before! It turns out a Basenji is one of very few breeds of dog that do not bark! Except, his walker told me, Parker does bark because of the mix in him. He said Parker’s face used to be all-orange, but has whitened as he’s aged. The Basenji is a hunting hound originating in central Africa. Characteristics of the breed are: playful, intelligent, affectionate, alert, curious, and energetic. Sounds just like Parker!

Busy, insane day, so I only had about 30 minutes of daylight left so headed to Legion Keener Park for my walk. I met this lovely fellow, Jethro, a 6 1/2 year old English Bulldog.

I was in such a hurry, that I forgot my usual pocket-full of Duck Treats! So I promised Jethro I’d make it up to him the next time I got to see him. It was lovely to meet you, Jethro!

I almost forgot to mention that Jethro is a Service Dog! He deserves lots of treats, right? He was so darling and made my day!

I am not exactly certain that Max is a Yorkie, but I assume so. There was so much going on that I forgot to ask.

What a little cutie pie! I think I want one.
